Near the Friendship of Peoples fountain, from 12:00 to 21:00, the main art object of the holiday, “Color City,” will be located. The site will resemble a real children's town with blocks, a square, and buildings of different heights. Before entering the entertainment area, the children will receive a resident’s “passport” and route maps with tasks.

Interactive Museum of Architectural History

From 12:00 to 21:00 next to the improvised city, opposite pavilion No. 66 “Culture”, the interactive Museum of the History of Architecture will be located. In the open air, VDNKh's little guests will get acquainted with the most striking architectural structures of various periods and countries. The children will see 8 famous objects that clearly demonstrate the history of world architecture: the pyramid of Ancient Egypt, an ancient Greek temple, a Gothic cathedral, modern skyscrapers and other monuments from around the world. All objects will be interactive. For example, children will be able to climb the Chinese pagoda and swing the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa in different directions. Animation guides who will be located near each object will help you navigate the site.

Film lecture hall

The cinema hall in the park next to pavilion No. 75 (between the entrances “North-1” and “North-2”) from 12:00 to 20:00 invites young visitors to watch thematic cartoons and films about construction and architecture. There will also be lectures from leading young architects, designers, historians, including Peter Fink, a London architect and specialist in the organization of urban space.

Fair of architectural studios and bureaus

On Industry Square from 12:00 to 20:00 there will be an educational fair of creative studios, where Moscow specialized bureaus and schools will present their educational programs.

Zone "Architectural Institute"

From 12:00 to 20:00, opposite the model of the Vostok rocket in the Architectural Institute zone, master classes will be held on making masks in the shape of cities and three-dimensional cardboard costumes. At the “Wicker City” site, architect Olga Rokal will demonstrate to everyone how to create urban objects from colored polyethylene cord: arches, domes, vaults. In the Domdom workshop, the children will assemble a large construction set from multi-colored plywood houses. In the section “I am my mother’s engineer,” children will be asked to build a tower and a bridge from wooden structures in accordance with the principles of the Russian innovative engineer V.G. LEGO Playground

From 11:00 to 20:00, children of all ages will have plenty of fun at the LEGO playground near pavilion No. 57 for two days. Children will be able to turn into a real ninja, plunge into the exciting world of Ninjago City, and meet their favorite heroes. For the bravest, there will be a training camp where participants will be offered an exciting quest. Children will go through five difficult and exciting missions, after which they will receive the title of “ninja” and pleasant gifts. At Camp LEGO NINJAGO you can take photos with large 3D figures of Ninjago City heroes, participate in fun competitions for the whole family and get a chance to win tickets to The LEGO Ninjago Movie, which premieres on September 21.

On September 9 and 10, the exhibition turned into a huge “City of Children,” which this year was dedicated to architecture. 17 interactive platforms are located on the territory from the Friendship of Peoples fountain to the City Farm and Ostankino Park. The children were able to try themselves as builders, designers, engineers and landscapers.

On the alley in front of pavilion No. 66 there was an open-air museum where children learned about the history of world architecture. They made masks in the shape of cities, created flower arrangements in a landscape park, took part in an architectural parade, and made cardboard houses. 90 masters helped the children with this.

In the film lecture hall they gave lectures and showed cartoons and films about construction and architecture, and at the City Farm they presented the premiere of the first children's immersive performance in Russia based on the fables of Ivan Krylov. Over two days, about five thousand people saw the production.

One of the most popular children's playgrounds was the play area, which was visited by about 12 thousand guests over the weekend. In the “Crafts Park” they competed in car rallies and took part in master classes. Over two days, more than 15,000 people visited its territory.

The music program was also varied. At the brass band festival, which took place at the Green Theater VDNKh. Scene on the water”, marches and waltzes, Balkan melodies and Dixieland sounded. Oleg Nesterov’s team “Megapolis” performed at the “Park of Crafts”, and a concert “Moscow policemen for Muscovites!” was held at the “Worker and Collective Farm Woman” pavilion.

For sports fans, a CrossFit tournament was organized next to pavilion No. 27 “Physical Education and Sports”. More than a hundred of its participants competed for the main prize - the sword of King Arthur.
