He didn’t take after his mother-poet, Alexander admitted to Finparty, but “I dance well and love to sing, especially alone. I often sing karaoke in my country house, of course, while no one is there, although I do it with pleasure in company. Once my colleagues and I were on a business trip to India and after the official part we went for a walk to the beach. They sang so that the policemen passing by smiled and said that the Russians sing well.”

Even as a child, when his parents worked in Germany and brought crystal and porcelain from there, he became a collector. He collects artistic porcelain, mostly German, although currently Italian, but it is artistic, notes Murychev.

Association of Regional Banks of Russia (Association "Russia")

In December 1990, the heads of 37 commercial banks and 13 regional departments of Promstroibank of the USSR signed an agreement on the establishment of the Russian Association of Joint-Stock Commercial Industrial Construction Banks. It was designed to coordinate efforts to develop general banking activities, to unite and maintain a unified system of personnel retraining, methodological, logistical and information support for the activities of commercial banks emerging on the basis of the territorial offices and branches of Promstroybank.

The August crisis of 1998, the increasing role and importance of regional banks, and changes in the membership of the Association led to the need to adjust the profile and change the name. In 1999, it was renamed the Association of Regional Banks of Russia (Association “Russia”).

The Association has experienced particularly noticeable growth in recent years. In 1995 it included 86 members, in May 2001 - 120, in November 2006 - 370.

“The distant relative who suddenly appeared on the threshold of the ARB turned out to be, albeit poor, but surprisingly persistent”

Let us recall that the initiative to merge the two banking organizations was made by the president of the regional association “Russia” Alexander Murychev. The idea itself was supported by the banking community. Today, the organizations, in fact, duplicate each other, and about 200 banks are members of both associations and sometimes find themselves in a difficult situation: the positions of ARB and Rossiya on some important issues are diametrically opposed.

Andrei Kozlov was shot at the stadium

President of the Association of Russian Banks Garegin Tosunyan told Kommersant yesterday: “I’m having a hard time finding words about who this scum is... The supervisory function always gets in the way of someone’s throat. Andrey Andreevich is a man of enormous knowledge and professionalism, he is the one who is building the Russian banking system of a qualitatively new level.” “I don’t want to think that the assassination attempt is connected with his professional activities, but, unfortunately, I can’t imagine other versions,” says Alexander Murychev, president of the Rossiya Association of Regional Banks.

Banks go all in

The leader of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia, Alexander Murychev, sharply criticized these proposals: the financial crisis of 1998 showed the inadequacy of relying only on large banks, most of which went bankrupt, while medium and small banks not only survived, but also began to develop dynamically. According to A. Murychev, the proposed measures are purely administrative; they are capable of introducing additional systemic risks into the Russian financial system.

The day before, Chairman of the ARDB Council Alexander Murychev spoke in an interview with Bankir.Ru about the failure to build fair banking competition, what the association will do in the next three years, and why the set of anti-crisis tools cannot be hidden far away.

Alexander Murychev: The Association of Regional Banks of Russia is against the admission of branches of foreign banks to the Russian financial market

The Association of Regional Banks of Russia (Association “Russia”) has repeatedly spoken out against the admission of branches of foreign banks to the Russian financial market. And in Novosibirsk, the President of the country put an end to this discussion, outlining Russia’s political position. This was stated by the President of the Association Alexander Murychev, speaking at a press conference in Moscow today. Now there is not a single branch of a foreign bank in Russia, he said. This is very important for investors to understand. But there are 49 banks with foreign capital of more than 50 percent. All of them are under the control of the Central Bank, work according to Russian laws and pay taxes to our budget. In essence, these are Russian banks. And what the president of the country said in Novosibirsk has nothing to do with them.

The Union will wait

At the last XXII annual congress of the Association of Russian Banks, the controversy over the possible merger of two banking associations - ARB and Rossiya - did not happen. The bankers flatly refused to discuss this matter, saying that being a member of this or that association is everyone’s personal matter. RBG learned the details from the Executive Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia, Alexander Murychev.

Alexander Murychev: “Banks have money, but they don’t risk giving it to small businesses”

Due to lack of money, Russian small businesses cannot grow to an acceptable level. If in Europe small businesses provide half of the tax revenue, then we have only a few percent. President of the Association of Regional Banks “Russia” Alexander Murychev told an NG correspondent about the problems and prospects for lending to small businesses.

The Association of Regional Banks acquired a lobbyist

The Council of the Association of Regional Banks unanimously recommended deputy Anatoly Aksakov for the post of president of the association. Its former head, Alexander Murychev, will remain chairman of the board, but will concentrate his main efforts at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, where he recently became first executive vice president. According to bankers, personnel changes will strengthen the role of the second largest association of Russian banks. In any case, there is no longer talk of its merger with the Association of Russian Banks.

Salary friend

Bankers say: representatives of small and medium-sized businesses are increasingly turning to credit institutions to formalize a “salary” project. Corporate clients, unlike individuals, have more opportunities to carefully select a bank, since many companies have their own legal services. However, it is important for representatives of organizations to remember some points when choosing a partner bank. “First of all, it is necessary to pay attention to the so-called history of the credit organization: how many years the bank has been operating in the market, what experience it has, what is its authority among partners. Moreover, if we are talking about a specialized area, be it lending to corporate clients or the development of a retail area,” notes Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia.
